Well, it's been a minute since I've had time to sit and blog. In my last post I talked about how we had worked to get my niece, Katie, into her new house. Once she moved, my sister and brother-in-law purchased her condo, which meant we had another place to paint. The cleaning and painting basically turned into a small flip. I think my sister is trying to kill us! *smile* Another niece is moving into the condo. Rent is crazy expensive around here and it more economically for them to purchase the condo and have my niece to pay the mortgage than it was for her to pay rent. Needless to say, it's been crazy busy.
This the first day I've been able to breath for weeks. I have puttered doing cleaning, laundry and some canning. I am home, in my happy place, and I am soooo happy.
Even with the busy I've taken time to enjoy summer. We've had plenty of rain, which means that the flowers have been beautiful.
Chuck won a Blackstone at his company Christmas meal. It has been getting a lot of use. My favorite thing to make on it is breakfast. It's wonderful for making bacon!
Before the weather turned nasty hot, we enjoyed eating al fresco.
Eating outside is one of my favorite things. I often take my lunch on the back porch, regardless of how hot it might be.
There is something different about a summer rain shower. The smell is incredible.
I'm looking forward to spending more time at home enjoying the signs of summers.
