Let's start with the most exciting things... my twin great-nieces are here! They were born at 37 weeks and as of today they are one week old.
I've seen them via pictures and facetime. I am dying to get my hands on them, but they are where they need to be at the moment, which is in the NICU. The girls are covered in prayer and I have no doubt they will be home soon.

One night after working painting all day, my amazing husband came home and tilled our garden.
It was dark by the time he finished. I was so grateful that he did this. Things had been so busy that I wasn't sure we would get it done. The next day it was planted. Now if it would only warm up so things could grow and thrive!

I don't know about your area, but here we had a good week of warm weather and then it cooled off. Today we won't even reach 70*. It feels weird, but I know the warmth will come.
During the warm spell I purchased most of my flowers. They bring me so much joy during the summer months.
Before I planted I wanted to power wash the back porch. The first thing we did was take almost everything off.
We were already tired when we started this project on a Sunday afternoon. By the time we were done we were both so tired. We kept questioning why we started this project. The good news is that it's done.
My guy and his birthday buddy. Chuck turned 54 and our great nephew, Ben, is now two. Our extended family went out for pizza to celebrate and then back to Katie's for cake and presents for Ben.
Now that we are finished with projects for others, at the moment, it was time to get things done at home. The first thing on our list is cleaning out the garage. We have been in and out so much, grabbing tools for this project and the next that it looked terrible.
Chuck has taken the week off and he has been working on this disaster. He is going through everything. And I do mean everything. He has gotten rid of a bunch of stuff. I can't wait to see it finished.

One thing that tucked away on a shelf in the garage was tubs and tubs of pictures. When my father-in-law retired to Florida one of the things he dumped on us gave to us was all of his pictures.
The time has come to tackle this beast. I am currently sorting pictures by year. I then will sort and then sort them again until I can get this beast under control.

That's just a few highlights of the things that have been happening around here. I prefer things a little slower and simpler than it has been. We are ready to pull back the throttle a little bit.
