Before Chuck returned to work we worked on putting the Christmas décor away.
There was so much stuff that we no longer put out so we went through everything and ended up with an overflowing box for charity. It felt good to lighten the load.
Ahhhhhh... much better.
I know that some people feel let down once the décor is put away. Not me! I thrive on the feeling of simplicity.
Menu planning was a little lax the last month so it was time to get back to that. Having a menu plan helps me to start dinner early and avoid the temptation of running out to get something.
The "to do" list is also back in action. Having a list helps to keep me accountable. Not to mention that I love to mark things off the list!
As much as I love the holidays I also enjoy the ordinary days. I am looking forward to my slow, simple routine!
May your day be filled with joy and contentment!
I'm kind of looking forward to getting back to our regular routine, too. Maybe I'll take the decorations down tomorrow.ReplyDelete
I'm savoring the Christmas season this year. The tree is staying up until January 6th (at least.) We did, however, take our outside lights down because we have a warmish day over the weekend. Brad was all last week too. I was really bummed to see him go back to work yesterday. I like the Bible verse you have on your menu chalkboard. That's a wonderful reminder.ReplyDelete
I love your menu planner. So pretty. I also like things back to normal and simple. Enjoy your day and God bless.ReplyDelete
I'm a list maker as well so know how you feel looking at the list (and crossing things off it! Our decorations will come down later this week. It will feel good to have it put away and the rooms will look bigger. Happy New Year.ReplyDelete
I was extremely tired of the christmas decorations ~ I've been surrounded by them since early October ( remember, I work at Michaels). I agree, It feels great to have to house ALMOST back to normal.ReplyDelete
