Joy in the Ordinary

Look around, really look around and you will find joy... joy in the everyday... joy in the ordinary things.
Pot Pie Soup. Thinned out pot pie filling with crust baked in strips and placed on top. The crust baked this way reminded me of crackers. My family called this a hit!
The first real snow of the season was very pretty. Too bad it happened early on a Sunday morning. The roads were still not in good shape when we left church that afternoon.
I find things from Megan left in random places.
Wemo joined our home just before Christmas. We are trying hard to remember to clean the tank weekly. Who thought that would be so hard!?
A couple of days before the snow we saw sun! This sunshine girl was happy after several days of gray skies.
Homework is a daily task.

May your day be filled with joy and contentment!

  1. There is something about keeping fish alive that I can not do. We bought a small aquarium when Jamie was little. I'll never forget the day I set a glass of Dr. Pepper down and tried to scoop a fish out of the bowl to move it over into the aquarium, that little stinker flipped and dropped into my glass. I almost had a stroke trying to get him out before he could die. I was shocked, he was the fish that lived the longest.

  3. I love pot pie soup! And the pastry strips are better than crackers in my opinion!

I'm a sunshine girl too. We got snow over the weekend and it's been so cold here that we still have the snow. I love the snow and the moisture it brings, but I'm getting a bit tired of the mud now. Mud with 3 boys=major mess!

Fish is this house is not allowed after the 4th fish purchase. It's a hard pet to keep after... thank goodness for outdoor animals..;)

Finding my boys stuff strung through the house is a blessing and shows that this is home. Happy for clean up time in the evening, however. Haha!

    Enjoy your week Wendi!
    Hugs, Amy

  6. Love your "Joy In the Ordinary" posts. We have a goldfish, Goldie (Original name, I know) and she is 2 1/2 years old. He companion Dot just died last summer at almost two. If you take good care of them and don't overfeed, they can live quite a while. I'm sure Weemo is in good hands!
