A Slow Weekend

Want to know how to enjoy a long weekend?
Enjoy a leisurely, homemade breakfast.
Drive down a country road.
Take a long walk with a view.
Enjoy the last swim of the season.
Read a book.
Spend some time baking.
Tackle a project.
Have daddy help you build a blanket tent.
Play games.
Most importantly spend it with those you love!

May your day be filled with joy and contentment!

  1. Glad you enjoyed your long weekend. It is hard to take that last swim, especially when it is still 90 degrees. :) Thankfully, a change is coming. I am ready for cooler weather. Are you?

  2. Hi! I am visiting you from Connie's blog. It appears you know how to really enjoy a lazy week-end. I live reading the Beverly Lewis books also. I am reading one now by Beth Wiseman, "Plain Pursuit" and amish novel also. You mentioned about your little chinese girl. We will eventually be experiencing a little Chinese daughter-in-law! Congrats on all the canning you have accomplished in your other post! Nancy

  5. I am a huge Beverly Lewis fan. Funny story, I also listen to the books on tape while cross stitching. My son (5 at the time) reported to his teacher that we were Amish. We then took a family vacation to Lancaster, Pa.
