Rainy Day

This what I woke up to this morning.

Dark, dark skies, rain and some thunder and lightening.

Oh what to do on a rainy day?

Look through passed along magazines and cut out yummy recipes.

Put on sunglasses and wish for the sunshine.

Play in the rain.

Take a good friend on a car ride once the rain passes.

I hope you are taking time to enjoy the simple moments!

  1. Sometimes we need those rainy days to slow down and enjoy the little moments of our days. :-) Great pictures!

  2. We had a day just like that here, only too chilly to play in the rain, it stayed around 60 degrees most of the day!

  3. Looks like you made the most of your rainy day. Sometimes a rainy day is a nice break and a good excuse to stay inside and get housework done or just take a few minutes to relax. We're having a rainy day today.

  5. Last night, my husband called me from home to tell me that our power was out. I so hoped that it would still be out when I returned home, but it was not... I love relying on candles and flashlights without any "screens" for entertainment.

  7. How nice, actually. I love an unexpected rainy day every once in a while. Do you? For some reason, it gives me permission to relax and be a little lazy, and it gives me a cozy feeling. Of course, if you have little ones with cabin fever it hampers the coziness. :-)

Taste of Home is my favorite magazine in the world, and a stack that size on a rainy day looks like heaven to me.

Bet your garden loved the day as much as you did!
