Megan's Room

One to many afternoons I found Megan's room looking like this.

There was some fussiness about cleaning this up and I had just had enough. I spent an afternoon re-arranging, cleaning and getting rid of lots of stuff. I told Chuck that if I am still finding it as disaster and having a little one that will not pick up I will go back and clean out some more stuff.

Megan was so proud of her room when she went to bed.

I am a happy girl that it is staying neat.

  3. I was having the same issue with my girls. So I took all their toys and moved them into another room and put a child safety lock on the door. This way I can control how much they take out at once instead of dumbing every single toy on the floor. It's working.

  4. Love how you moved things around. I use to do that as well when my kids were small. Did a great job! Want to come clean and move my room around? He...he.

  5. you would be so surprised out how many toys my children DO NOT HAVE for the same reasons. In fact, I realized that some had not been played with in so long, that I'm taking them to the goodwill as soon as I have a chance... our culture just feeds us the idea that they need all this "stuff"...what they actually need is US! oh...and some good books! I loved this post!

  8. You did a great job! My daughter's room often looks like your before. It drives me crazy but sometimes I just need a break from 'yelling' @ her about it (I really don't yell but you know what I mean) and let it go. One day I know she'll come around. Right now it's clean and tidy. :)
